The Treadville children, Andrew, Bethany, and Colin, while trying to rescue their dog, fall into a hole and discover Banjea, a previously unknown world of strange creatures. They meet some plarians - tiny human-like creatures with wings. They are chased by droles -fierce flesh eating predators, and hunted by trigons - huge voracious reptilians. Sorcerers offer to lead the children to their castle where they are told they will keep them safe from the predators. The sorcerers offer refuge and request that the children help them recover a bronze cube that had been placed beyond the reach of the sorcerers. The children discover that the sorcerers are not what they seem and the cube isn't exactly what they told them it was. |
